A Romantic Autumn Table
A Romantic Autumn Table, October 18, 2023. Along with the darker days comes the romantic side of Autumn with jewel tones and rich accents which add glamour and sparkle to the decaying day. Fall is when I most love to temper this glamour with nature and create a juxtaposition for the eyes. Dried flowers placed in golden vases sit in the living room. Baroque mirrors contrast cottage checked fabrics. An embroidered pillow rests on a rustic chunky knit blanket. Gold flatware are paired with a mossy garland on a handmade wooden table. The plain and the glamourous together set each other off in a delightful way and create an aura of enchantment for the season. Adding the unexpected to your natural decor will create a romantic home.
Roses are glamorous and should not be shied away from in holiday decor. In fact, they should be plentiful. I only just discovered this last Christmas. And since then, I have dreamed of Christmas decor for this year and all the roses I would use. It is coming together beautifully. There is still the harvest season to get through, however. Why not add roses there too? And so, a romantic autumn table came together in a jiffy.

The mossy looking garland was another inexpensive find that will get a lot of use with its cottage appeal. Two of them were placed side by side and fluffed out all on top of my sage velvet runner made from old curtains. This runner is my favorite to use. And the setup became the palette for the rest of the table.
Our pumpkin candlelights from our recent Autumn Charcuterie were still good and added the fall touch to the centerpiece. If you want to learn how to make these click here.
Rose stems are not cheap when you consider a lot of them are needed. Thankfully, an online hunt revealed a rose stems for $2 each which became the star of this table. I curled them around the pumpkins and tucked them in the garland in clusters. Clusters of them looked more natural as opposed to placing them in the garland in pattern.
Golden acorns I have used before. They are sweet. They are good filler items. And they were not originally gold, but I changed that.
Have a beautiful day!
