A Spring Easter Table for 2024
A Spring Easter Table for 2024. February 25, 2024.
At some point in February, I begin to get antsy as we are coming close to the end of winter. This is the point where us season lovers are ready to move on to the next big show nature has in store for us. And Spring is peeking around the corner, tempting us with buds ready to burst on trees paired with a warm sunny day here and there. Even the groundhog declared that Spring would come early this year. He would never lie now, would he? I begin to daydream in color instead of serene whites hopeful for new green leaves to once again begin to fill the bare landscape. Since gardening is limited still, I use some pent-up energy to decorate for Spring. And I can’t imagine not using Spring-inspired decor at the table for Easter, our first official Spring holiday.
So, out come the cabbage plates and bunny toile plates. Out come great grandma Sidonia’s glasses and Johnson Brothers white China. Brand new baroque themed silverware is waiting anxiously for its first appearance at the table. Should I pull out this runner here with the Spring green checks or try something new and use a white crochet runner? I deliberate each item with the intensity of a young bride to be picking out China for the first time. I stand so long in the flower section at the store that the young florist repeatedly asks me if he can help. My mind is busy trying to create a Spring bouquet with the limited selection. Unfortunately, for me it seems the young florist has a fascination with purple arrangements, so the pickings were slim for this pink and green gal. Finally, a Spring Easter table for 2024 emerges.
A few new things…
One new thing added to the Spring decor inventory this year were these adorable cabbage leaf place mats. They sang Springtime music to my soul upon sight, and I wasn’t disappointed when they arrived. I got those here and they will be well-used! Cabbage decor lovers will appreciate these!
Trying to incorporate more of the garden spirit into decor I came up with this sweet idea of tucking a packet of heirloom seeds inside folded napkins. This turned out to be my favorite part of the table and with so many people gardening these days it is a wonderful mini gift for guests! Cream ruffle napkins are tied with silk ribbon, the top layer folded down show revealing the seeds. A very simple and sweet idea!
The new baroque flatware came from Wayfair and was a wonderful deal. You can find it here. It came with 12 full settings plus a serving set. It really took the table presentation up a notch at a great price.
And finally, the crochet white table runner was another great buy from Amazon. I found that here. This is a great basic piece for table decor!
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a beautiful day!

Very tasteful decor! It’s so fresh and balanced – makes me yearn for spring even more. The last weeks of winter are the toughest time in the year because I miss COLOR and warmth and I am just clinging to the promise of resurrection of life on all levels possible!
