Print Recipe

Ingredients

  • pumpkins
  • pen
  • small knife (I used a paring knife)
  • tea lights with metal holders

Instructions

  • Take one pumpkin and remove stem. This is easy with small pumpkins. With big pumpkins you may need more force).
  • Take one tea light and remove the candle from its tin holder.
  • Take the candle and center it over where the pumpkin stem used to be.
  • Trace around the candle with a pen.
  • Using a small knife carefully cut all around the circle you traced. You want to cut around the circle as if you are going to pull it out, but wait- don’t pull it out.
  • Instead, push the circle down enough to create a platform for your tea light to sit on.
  • Put the candle back in its metal container and push into the hole you have created.
  • They are now ready to use!

Notes

Tips for success:
  • use a soft scrub or baking soda to remove any pen marks if needed.
  • little pumpkins will last around a week before getting soft, so make these a day or two before you plan on using them.
