Pear Brie and Bacon Grilled Sandwich with Fig Preserves

A hearty autumn take on grilled cheese

Ingredients
  

  • Rustic whole grain bread
  • Brie cheese
  • Pear slices
  • Cooked bacon slices My favorite method of cooking bacon is on parchment paper in the oven on low broil!
  • Fig preserves
  • Butter

Instructions
 

  • Butter one side each of 2 slices of bread.
  • On the butterless side of one slice spread fig preserves.
  • Add pear slices, brie cheese and 2 slices of bacon.
  • Grilled in a skillet over medium- medium low heat. This will give the cheese time to melt while the outside browns nicely.
  • Enjoy sandwich!

Notes

*White cheddar is also good with this!
