A Quarantine Easter Brunch Menu (+Family Game Ideas)

Like many all over the world, we are trying to make the best of an extra rough year with this quarantine. We are having a tiny Easter brunch and Easter dinner. Normally, our house would be full of kids and adults for a dinner and egg hunt. That’s not happening this year and that’s okay. There’s a lot to be grateful for in spite of what’s happening, so I am keeping my eyes on that. We are all safe in our home and have what we need. Whereas many do not have that luxury, so I am hardly going to complain because we can’t have a big party. Yet traditions are important, and our family loves them. So, in trying to keep things as normal as possible I have been creating a condensed Easter. Featured today is our Quarantine Easter brunch menu along with a few family game suggestions.

When it comes to holiday breakfasts I aim for simple because there is usually a holiday dinner on the same day. None of us like overeating when we know there’s a big dinner coming later. That is especially true this year since we are trying to stay healthy during this quarantine. So, the planned menu is an easy one, but festive and delicious. The Easter brunch menu includes: basic cream scones, microwave blackberry jam, sweet and salty bacon, Easter eggs, fruit of choice, and sparkling lime mint punch. Further down I have the links for each item highlighted, so just click links for recipes.

As far as some entertainment the following list of games can be assembled at home. These are games that will appeal to a broad age group and you can tailor them to suit your family’s need. Additionally, they are also fun and simple games that don’t require buying a bunch of things. I have found simplest is often the best and most fun.

  1. Jelly bean hunt
  2. Balancing an egg in a spoon race
  3. Pin the tail on the bunny
  4. Guess how many jellybeans in a jar
