Annie’s Peppermint Mocha Latte

Annie's Peppermint Mocha Latte

Annie’s Peppermint Mocha Latte. December 18, 2023.

It’s the season for cozy drinks. And while I have shared this instant peppermint latte mix here for when you just want an easy hot drink, today I wanted to share Annie’s peppermint mocha latte recipe with you. As I have told you before our espresso machine has created a fun opportunity to make our own flavored lattes such as this gingerbread latte here. And now we have moved on to peppermint mocha latte for the Christmas season.

Annie's Peppermint Mocha Latte

This drink uses a homemade peppermint syrup that is thick and pepperminty! Simple syrups are usually a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water. However, a rich syrup (and more concentrated) is 2:1 sugar and water which yields a thick syrup. And for extra goodness chocolate chips replace the standard chocolate syrup or cocoa powder in this latte. It is topped with a huge dollop of whipped cream and crushed candy canes for sipping perfection in a hygge moment. As with many of my recipes the amounts can always be adjusted to suit tastes as people have widely different taste buds. As always my hope is to give people ideas and starting points to utilize the creativity inside all of us. The recipe is below. Enjoy!
