Christmas at Hidden Bluff 2025

Christmas at Hidden Bluff 2025. December 25, 2025.
The house is adorned with its best Christmas finery to celebrate the day of all days. Green fir garlands, velvet bows, and twinkling lights hang throughout the home. Standing in a corner is a tree, lit up and waiting for the wrapped packages that will be placed under its boughs. It is more than a festive atmosphere; it is an appeal to our past. These traditions are the things we do to remind us of our spiritual foundation. Our human attempt to reach back through time and connect with an ancient past and the events that made us who we are. Christmas is the moment in time that changed the fate of the world. It was when the grace of humanity was born.

From that moment on, our story changed forever. Hope was born, giving us reason to celebrate. Every year now, we remember and hold that lone, dark night in our minds and why it means so much. The explosion of joy in the skies to announce the birth of our heavenly king to a group of humble shepherds. One could only imagine their shock that night. Racing to the manger as fast as they could, they found a young mother pondering it all in wonder. The amazing and beautiful moment that has defined countless generations since. Christmas is beyond wonderful!

The Reason We Celebrate
Christmas is the Christ child, who came in the flesh as a newborn baby. It is He whom we need to keep as the focal point of our lives to save us from ourselves. Will we choose to stay on the path that He has laid out for us rather than the one we have laid out for ourselves? The divine path will take us a very different direction from the one we planned out for ourselves, and it won’t be easy. However, we can be assured of a much better ending if we follow the Lord’s calling rather than our own. Let us prayerfully give our hearts into His care to soften and mold them into something that will bring us far more joy than we could ever experience by our own human efforts.

So with the table set for the Christmas feast and the people arriving, we hold Christ in our hearts and ask Him not just to save us but to refine us as well. We ask Him to make our hearts ready for Him.

Merry Christmas!
