Cozy Christmas Tablescapes
Hopefully, you all are having a great week and enjoying the Christmas spirit. We are continuing to work at home while our daughter finishes college online this next term. Our son has moved out and has started his after-college career job- sniffle! In any case, we are all still staying mostly at home no matter where we are because cases of Covid are sky-high right now. And since Christmas celebrations are likely to be smaller for many of us this year, I have created a couple of cozy Christmas tablescapes using materials on hand to help inspire you.
My decorating arsenal always has solid basics for special occasions. For example, quality basics such as good ribbons are key in decorating and can be used in many different ways. Both of these tables rely heavily on ribbon I had. The tables also use two different colors scheme because Christmas doesn’t have to be just red and green. However, neither table required much work. The point was to use things on hands to create a cozy, easy-going and yet festive table which I hope will help feed the Christmas creative spirit.
Cozy Christmas Tablescapes
Gold is the theme color this year for us, so of course I created a gold tablescape. Gold shimmer napkins, oversized ornaments, and gold ribbon were a few of the things used. My new favorite this year is this wide gold ribbon which I used liberally in our Christmas décor. You can see more of our décor here.
Some black candle sticks I had were spray painted gold for the occasion. For a loose and informal arrangement, I simply placed a long piece of wide ribbon and ornaments among the candlesticks.
The napkins lay flat with a single large ornament placed on top with more gold ribbon tied around it. The Christmas glam look is fun this year, and I am really liking the all-gold theme!
The next cozy Christmas tablescape is more traditional in colors and patterns using Christmas plaid. Christmas just isn’t Christmas without Christmas plaid- lol!
Plaid chargers and napkins are easily found at this time of year, and they are great basics. So, if you see a good price on those, I recommend getting them for your Christmas decorating stash.
Again, I used ribbon here for this simple look. A long piece of ribbon lays in the middle with a simple candle with fresh cranberries surrounding it. It is so easy to look around and see what you have to create a new look.
Simple napkins arrangements with velvet ribbon and a sprig of faux berries borrowed from the Christmas ornament box.
Have a beautiful week and thanks for stopping by!
