Peppermint Vanilla Tea Latte
SomeTyme Place is the place to come for cozy, hot beverage ideas to enjoy while snuggling up to a book or a loved one. I love to come up with new drink ideas often because variety is what makes life so darn fun! And while coffee is my lifelong passion the emergence of tea lattes as an alternative to coffee lattes has been a welcome one. London Fog Lattes are my personal favorite and I have a homemade recipe for those here. And today, I bring you a creamy, frothy and sweet peppermint vanilla tea latte for those cold winter days. This delicious, hot treat is so delightful to slowly sip while gazing out at a winter landscape and thumbing through a home decor magazine.
The whole milk makes it so creamy and wonderful! It may be my new favorite drink. In fact, I am pretty sure that it will be my beverage of choice while I spend afternoons in January garden planning. It seems appropriate since mint is a common garden herb and yet, so reminiscent of winter with its cooling sensation. This lovely drink is easy peasy, so keep reading for the recipe and enjoy!
Peppermint Vanilla Tea Latte
Makes 1 latte
1 cup of whole milk (or milk of your choice)
1 peppermint vanilla tea bag (I used Twining’s Brand Peppermint Cheer herbal tea; Buttermint by Twinings is another good option)
Simple syrup or sweetener of choice
Place milk and tea bag in small pot and bring milk just to before simmering. Remove from heat and take tea bag out. Pour steaming milk into cup and add a teaspoon or two of simple syrup. Use a mini frother and blend latte until foamy on top for the latte effect and and serve. Enjoy!
Have a beautiful day!
