My book picks this month stemmed from purely aesthetic reasons. Because some algorithm decided to place an adorable set of Jane Austen across my screen I eventually caved and ordered it. Never mind that a lovely anthology of Jane Austen sits decorating my bookshelf already. My splurge was purely superficial. My willpower is already weak when it comes to books but put a handsome old edition or beautiful book in my path and my will power goes to zero, hence the unneeded brand-new set of Jane Austen. Of course, I justified the purchase with the knowledge that I do love to read Jane Austen and therefore, know they will be well used.

Spring Book Picks 2024

This set of her works was a sweet robin egg blue that is highly portable due to its compact size. They are fabric bound with gorgeous, colorful baroque style covers, gold detailing, black and white illustrations, and satin ribbon markers. There is even a baroque pattern embedded in the fabric on the back of the book. These beauties are 4 x 6 inches making them very easy to carry around as opposed to the lovely anthology of her works decorating the bookshelf which is a bit cumbersome for hauling around- another great reason for buying! Additionally, the set is also priced well. I bought mine here. Needless to say I will be reading the adorable books for the next few months!
