This is an easy way to make use of those chive blossoms in your garden, and only 2 ingredients are needed! With this gorgeous vinegar, you can create amazing and flavorful salads.

Equipment

  • 1 pint-sized jar with lid

Ingredients

  • fresh chive blossoms (about a heaping cup)
  • white or white wine vinegar (1- 1 1/2 cups, enough to fill jar after adding chive blossoms)

Instructions

  • Fill your jar with fresh chive blossoms.
  • Now fill the jar with white or white wine vinegar. Make sure to leave some headspace for shaking.
  • Put the lid on the jar and shake.
  • Let the jar sit for 3-4 days, shaking once or twice a day.
  • Strain chive blossoms out and compost.
  • The remaining vinegar is a gorgeous pink-purple that is delicious!
