Fudgy Brownies with Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting
These chewy brownies are based on a classic recipe and topped with a thick layer of fluffy peanut butter frosting and sprinkled with chopped chocolate chips for an amazing treat!
Fudgy Brownies (adapted from Hershey's)
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsps. vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa (either light or dark)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup butter (room temperature)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tsps. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped chocolate chips
- Note: adjust frosting recipe proportionately if you want less frosting
Fudgy Brownies
Combine butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs.
Stir in cocoa powder.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick in center comes out clean with moist crumbs.
Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting
Using stand mixer whip butter and peanut butter until well-combined.
Add powder sugar, vanilla, and milk and whip frosting on high until fluffy (about 5 minutes).
Frost cooled brownies as desired (you may not use all of frosting).
Top brownies with chopped chocolate chips.
