Combine the 50 g of chamomile heads and 50 g of lavender buds in a container for a total weight of 100g.
Pour the 200 ml of vegetable glycerine into the flower mixture and stir briefly.
Using either a stick blender or a countertop blender, blend this mixture for about a minute. It is okay if it is still chunky.
Pour the mixture into a jar with a lid and set aside for 2-3 weeks, stirring once a day.
Line a strainer with cheesecloth.
Pour the herb mixture into the cheesecloth.
Grab the four corners of the cheesecloth together and squeeze the syrup out.
Set aside your syrup.
Place a small funnel on an amber dropper bottle I ended up with about 6 oz of syrup, so I needed 1 4-oz and 1 2-oz.
Pour your syrup into the amber dropper bottles.
Put the lid on and label. Store in a dark cupboard.
The dosage for glycerites is generally higher because they aren't as strong as tinctures. Try doubling the dosage: 60 drops, up to 3 times a day.
Properly made, a glycerite should last 1-2 years.
