Inspirational January Book Picks
As we quietly slid into January after a muted holiday season, I have taken a bit different direction with book picks this month. January is traditionally when we want to tidy up and organize after the holidays. Additionally, with the signaling of the fresh New Year many of us are looking to set new goals or learn new things to improve our lives. January is a month we want to be inspired and refresh. With these things in mind here are the inspirational January book picks.
inspirational January Book Picks
Jo Malone: My Story. This biography tells the journey of Jo Malone, a dyslexic school dropout, who went on to build a perfume business out of her home in England. She became an international success, sold her company for millions to Estee Lauder, started another company and battled breast cancer amongst other things. I am excited to read this inspirational-sounding biography through the lens of being a small business owner myself. These are the kinds of stories that help inspire the entrepreneurial spirit throughout the world.
Try Softer by Aundi Kolber. This is a debut book, and my self-help pick for the month. In this book Aundi Kolber wants us to do exactly that: try softer. Her gentle approach to living life and working with our hearts, minds, and bodies to emotional growth in the way God designed up as opposed to trying harder. Since I belong to the “try harder” category I am looking forward to learning something new about myself.
Beautifully Organized: A Guide to Function and Style in Your Home by Nikki Boyd. This year I am going to be selecting more books about the home and living such as decor, cooking, and organizing. This book by Nikki Boyd struck me as a woman who knows what she’s doing when it comes to organizing. Not to mention her book and decor/organization style is visually appealing. This promises to be a helpful read for cleaning up in January.
Share + Savor by Kylie Mazon-Chambers. This beautiful book was a spontaneous buy that I loved! Kylie Mazon-Chambers brings us beautiful charcuteries in many different styles and ways. The photography is gorgeous and inspirational. And I love that she incorporates different ethnicities into her charcuterie boards. We love charcuteries over here, so I will be trying these out.
Hope you enjoy January’s inspirational book picks!
