Candied Bacon
Are you looking to add a little kick and variety to your bacon? How about trying this sweet and salty candied bacon recipe? It’s a simple way to upgrade your bacon and make it a little more special with its crispy and chewy deliciousness. This would be a great recipe for a holiday brunch or breakfast that your family would enjoy. There are a number of ways to make candied bacon many of them calling only for brown sugar which is what I did.
One thing I noted was not added too much sugar or the bacon is too sweet. Using 1/3 cup for 10 oz of bacon tasted about right and allowed the sweet and salty flavors to complement each other.
Candied Bacon
1/3 cup of packed light brown sugar
l0 oz pkg. of sliced bacon
Start by sprinkling the brown sugar mixture on both sides of bacon and rub in lightly. Lay strips of bacon on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in oven heated to 400 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. This time could vary depending on the thickness of your bacon. Remove from oven and let sit a minute before serving. Enjoy!
Have a beautiful day!
