A Blue & White Harvest Table

A Blue & White Thanksgiving Table. November 3, 2026.
I am having a moment of garden pride. I grew every baby white pumpkin you see on the table. Baby white pumpkins are always purchased around here, which adds up. In our area, they run about $3-4 per pumpkin. But while browsing seeds early this year, I noticed a packet of Casperita pumpkins, or baby white pumpkins. For some reason, I have had trouble with pumpkins in our garden, but even if there were the tiniest of chances of growing our own baby white pumpkins, I was going to seize it. And our garden, true to its nature, only allowed one of those six seeds I planted to take, but that single plant produced around a dozen baby white pumpkins! I kept picking, and they kept growing!

Of course, I wanted to use all these hard-won baby pumpkins as the centerpiece, so after some experimenting, I settled on a French country-style urn to display them. The remaining pumpkins were scattered about. And then I stopped with the centerpiece. No candles or flowers. Just pumpkins.

For the rest of the table, I settled on a blue-and-white decor palette that transcends the seasons with its classic appeal, and these blue-and-white pheasant dinner plates were just the thing! Traditional holiday colors are lovely, but it is also nice to be different.

Linens were simple: dotted Swiss napkins, a lace-trimmed tablecloth I had sewn last year, and blue velvet ribbon around the flatware. Crystal drinkware always adds an elegant touch.

And the pumpkins? The seeds came from Botanical Interests, a great supplier of heirloom seeds (no affiliation or money).
Have a beautiful day!
