Hidden Bluff Christmas Decor 2025

Hidden Bluff Christmas Decor 2025. December 9, 2025.
It is our fourth Christmas at Hidden Bluff, and I continue to build on the style that emerged a couple of years ago in a moment of inspiration one evening. Since then, a new twist is added each year to keep it fresh, but the thread of similarity runs through them all. The act of creativity is an ongoing journey for the artist’s heart. Their eyes never stop searching, and their minds never stop creating. And when a style is found and is built on, that is when growth can be measured visibly by its cohesiveness and how pleasing it is to the eyes.

Things came together rather easily this year. The Christmas tree is a palette of burgundy, mauve, blue, cream, and green. Vintage Waverly fabric that had recently been added to the living room served as the inspiration. It worked well with the decor in our holiday stash. Most of the faux flowers we own went on the tree, along with the recently added ivy picks. I love the ivy on the tree! It adds so much character! These picks I found were perfect.

This year, I tried a different approach with the flowers and made bouquets instead of just randomly poking them in. Using the elements I had, I created three different bouquets based on the color palette. One bouquet was dusty blue hydrangeas with burgundy roses. Another was mauve hydrangeas and roses paired with berries and green hydrangeas. There was a cream and blush bouquet. They were easy to make and stick in the tree, as well as dispersing the color nicely. The Baroque-style ornaments I created with old nativity art add a nice old-world look to the florals.

Bows continue trending in Christmas trees, with large bows starting to come to the scene. I tried an extra-large bow at the top of one tree last year and loved it, so it is on our main tree this year as well. This look works best with at least a 6-inch wide ribbon. This shop has a wonderful 6-inch wired velvet ribbon lined with satin at a great price. Wired ribbon also makes it easier to adjust the bow.

The faux cedar garlands were liberally sprinkled throughout the house. Bouquets of blush and cream flowers were added to the mantle. Roses and cedar are elegant together!

Gold will always be my anchor neutral in the Christmas palette, so I continually keep my eyes open for gold accent pieces or things I can paint. These golden angels, for example, are paired with this urn that I spray-painted with a textured gold paint. Blush flowers are added to keep the color theme going.

A new find was these cedar picks from Amazon that were at a low price and of wonderful quality! I stuck them here and there to add Christmas touches.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a blessed Christmas season!
