Rosy Earl Grey Latte

“I can just imagine myself sitting down at the head of the table and pouring out the tea,” said Anne, shutting her eyes ecstatically. “And asking Diana if she takes sugar! I know she doesn’t but of course I’ll ask her just as if I didn’t know.”
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Rosy Earl Grey Latte. August 24, 2026.
The afterglow of that first sip of tea is exactly why we continue the ritual. Upon entering our systems the tea immediately brightens our spirits and covers our cares in liquid balm, readying us for the day or what remains of it. Tea is a social drink, whether it be at a party with the tiny little sandwiches and scones or between two friends catching up on the latest events. Tea is a comfort drink, perhaps a cup of Earl Grey with cream and sugar enjoyed in a moment of respite during a hectic day or an herbal tea brewed with chamomile for evening calm. Regardless, we depend upon the warm comfort tea provides.
The cheeriness of Earl Grey tea, with its bergamot accents, appeals to tea drinkers worldwide. It also makes a lovely tea latte for those who enjoy this hybrid drink. And if you haven’t enjoyed a tea latte, may I suggest you do so? Especially one made with whole milk? Tea that has steeped in frothy, bubbly, hot steamed milk is a treat. And while you are at it, I have it on good authority that rose water is a divine addition to this light and lovely beverage. Make yourself a rosy Earl Grey tea latte and invite a friend to have one too!
